Marlen Lamas from Team Link Framingham and Team Link Marlborough submitted his opponent with a rear naked choke at the World Championship Grappling event held in Clinton, Ma. Marlen told us "The event was awesome and it was good to be part of an event with different rules because I'm so used to competing under IBJJF rules. First thing I noticed we could do was slam so every takedown opportunity I had I tried to slam my opponent to put on a show for the crowd and they loved it. Overall it was a great experience and I hope to get back in there to put on another show". Team Link Framingham owner and coach Igor Batista said "Marlen is an unbelievable kid. He displayed very good control throughout the match and I was very impressed with his wrestling". Owner and coach from Team Link Marlborough, Thaigo "Bamboo" Libardi told us, " he didn't give his opponent much to do, with an awesome take downs made audience keep watching and waiting for next movements".
