Congratulations to Professor Gary Alvarez on being awarded his black belt!

Master Marco came to the Northampton Team Link for the belt ceremony this January and promoted Professor Gary to black belt. Professor Gary has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 12 ½ years. As a coach and mentor, Gary is proudest when he can see his students thrive through jiu jitsu. He loves to see the emotional development students achieve through the sport, and how a student's ability to problem-solve and navigate life changes with time. He invests in students regardless of physically ability and can alter techniques to ensure each student can do it regardless of size or physical ailments they may have. We are so proud of Professor Gary’s promotion and grateful to have him as a coach at Team Link Northampton.
